Title: Field Operations Administrator

Job Classification: Field Operations Administrator - Cable Department

Location: Burnaby, B.C.
Start Date: Immediately

This position, located in Central Burnaby, is suited for someone is capable of communicating with both trades and head office personnel effectively. We are looking for someone can work independently and is comfortable in a casual work environment with an office inside a warehouse.

•Provide day-to-day administration and office support – reception, couriers and deliveries.
•Manage expense reports, receipts, vacation requests, travel and lodging and other arrangements for the Area Manager and crew.
•Maintain and order inventory and requisite office supplies.
•Administrate daily timesheets, provide coding, obtain approvals and submit to payroll.
•Resolve inquiries from payroll, head office and crew in the field.
•Maintain meticulous records and project folders.
•Set-up, review, code and track all purchase orders / non POs including entering fleet equipment.
•Track, analyze, and report project progress to managers and customers.
•Liaise with Head Office regarding project financials/controls.
•Gather/organize backup materials and support documentation for customer unit and project billing.
•Liaise with Work Leader on current and pending projects, reporting, allocations and other departmental requirements.
•Various ad hoc duties


Business/Office Administration Diploma with focus on Accounting or working towards accounting designation with 3-5 years of experience with A/P, A/R, Payroll and General Accounting. Construction/Utility industry experience considered an asset.

•A/P, A/R, Payroll and/or General Accounting skills.
•Accounting and ERP software packages – JD Edwards experience considered an asset.
•Ability to work independently or in a team environment through periods of workload spikes and increased project based activity.
•Ability to organize and prioritize work, detail-oriented, and adaptable to change.
•Proficient in Excel and MS Office suite.
•Strong verbal and written communication.
